Feasibility analysis (e.g., can we convert our attic to a loft without significant structural changes?)
-
Sometimes clients engage us at the very outset of a project for a “feasibility analysis.” For example, you might ask us to look at your attic and determine whether it can be converted to a loft without significant and costly structural modifications. Our analysis may help you determine whether your project is feasible, at all.
For a smaller project, like opening up a floor plan, a client may engage us to determine whether the wall is load bearing, and if so, size the structural support members and provide documentation for permitting.
For a larger project, clients will typically work with a contractor or architect to develop a plan and then engage us to provide structural analysis and documentation, including documentation to support permitting.
-
No, we do not provide architectural drawings or interior design services.
When you have a firm concept for your project, we can analyze structural loads and specify structural members needed for your project. We can also provide the documentation that is required for permitting in cities around the Metro.
-
Yes, we can provide the structural analysis and documentation required for permitting (from a structural perspective). We have experience working with cities all over the Metro.
Pricing and Payment
-
Our fees vary widely based on your project complexity and scope.
Most design projects require an initial site visit to discuss the scope of your project and take measurements. Our fee for the site visit is due regardless of whether you engage us for additional services.
A quote for services beyond the initial site visit will be sent for approval before design work begins.
Please provide a detailed description of your project on our booking page.
-
Yes, if we perform the initial site visit, the fee for that service is due, regardless of whether you engage us for additional services.
